Joffre Cuatro Malbec, Mendoza Argentina

The great-grandson of southern French wine growers, Raul Joffré purchased 60 hectares of vineyards in the Uco Valley in 1998, with the goal to grow wine rather than make it (so much Malbec is over-ripened then watered down). Cuatro is named after Raul's four daughters, all of whom are involved in the family venture.

All the wines see French oak aging, with the Cuatro seeing only 15% of it in oak for 6 to 9 months.
